Driving Techniques
Look
further
Everything happens so suddenly in a race car. Because of that being able to
consider and see everything already is very important. The sights of the driver
determine where to go. Looking as far as possible direct the car to the right
way and besides that makes it easy for the driver to concentrate to the later
target.
Concentrate
ahead
It is not enough just to be able to look ahead. A driver must learn how to
concentrate to the next target. Driver must arrange where and when to break down
and before completing his turn, he must concentrate to apex point. Unity of
sense and concentration increases the possibility of doing the right at the
right time.
High
Speed on Curve
It is generally asked the limit of speed. The limit of speed is when the
speed starts to get you far from your main target. Entering a curve at a very
high speed provide an advantage but it may also cause disadvantages such as
missing the apex or coming out of the track...
Unreal
Expectations
'Be aware of yourself'. An amateur should not expect to get degrees which a
world champion can get. Watching someone's practices all the time and thinking
to have a natural ability can not replace learning seriously and real practices.
Experienced racers who have been away from racings for a while should practice to regain old
abilities.
Driving
Hard
Many racing cars react so suddenly and so much. Also, they give negative and
very sudden reactions to hard driving. Driving hard and sudden break downs make
you feel driving very fast, but in reality it is slower and more dangerous both
for the driver and the car.
Analyzing
During the Drive
Driver must discipline himself to concentrate to sudden changes
and must
analyze his performance often. Wondering about ten seconds ago prohibits him to
arrive his main target. Experienced and well-informed drivers analyze their
performances on long flat places. It's recommended for the amateurs to think
very near future and analyze their performances after the race.
Do
Not Pay Attention to Race Lines
It's very important to use the track in the right ways. Many drivers ask and
wonder about very technical things and despite of their capacities, when they
start racing, they ignore everything.
Confusing
Brain
A brain of a driver is his best friend. If you direct your best friend in
the wrong way, confuse it or make it afraid, it becomes a dangerous passenger. A
confused brain starts to give directions like "Get high!!'..., 'Look it
here, we're out of way!!'... 'Now hard break!'...
